Many predicted a “robot apocalypse” where AI would replace human workers en masse, particularly in creative and knowledge-based fields. Fields that were once deemed untouchable by automation.

However, as AI has become more integrated into workplaces, a different reality has emerged — one that, while not marked by mass layoffs, presents its own set of challenges and ethical considerations.

Let’s explore the potential future state of AI adoption in the workforce, examining how organizations are balancing technological advancement with workforce management. We’ll investigate whether the absence of widespread layoffs truly represents a positive outcome for workers and the broader economy or is something that I call “Ethical AI Greenwashing”
