Table format in chatGPT is a game-changer.

And a couple of other formatting options too.

It’s another day, and another day that chatGTP surprises me with something I didn’t know before- and turns out to be absolutely amazing. It might not sound like a lot but being able to format output as a table is hugely beneficial for not only readability but exportability.

Tip: Add a browser extension to export HTML Tables easily, and it will become super convenient to export these tables to whatever format you need them in. Like this one.

The only thing you need to do to have chatGPT output certain data as a table is to add ‘and format it as a [whatever]’ at the end of the prompt. Or, something similar.

For instance: “Format it as JSON” Or “Output it as CSV“ etc. The idea is to ask for the output format in the prompt. Simple.
