Midjourney can create prompts based on your image uploads; here is how to do it.

Prompt engineering just became a lot more visual.

The folks at Midjourney just released /describe. A feature that makes it possible to upload an image and have Midjourney create a prompt out of it. So not only explaining what is on the image itself but describing how to generate a prompt to create a similar picture.

Here is how it works.

Instruct the Midjourney Discord bot to /describe an image. Just enter /describe and tab.

I have uploaded an image of a bee. You can find the picture I used here https://i.imgur.com/zuBVShg.jpg

A bee sitting on a pink flower.

In barely 5 seconds, Midjourney comes up with four prompts describing what you just uploaded.

Amazing, isn’t it? Now for convenience, you can press buttons 1 through 4, representing the prompts below the image, to generate an image based on that prompt.
