Apple, OpenAI, and the future of AI Content Assistants
Going by Apples playbook, chatGPT is a platform now.
Some four months ago, I wrote this article:
The statement might have been a bit premature, but the first signs are showing up.
According to SEMRUSH and other analytics firms, interest in major players is down, but interest in the space is up. There are, of course, most likely now many 1000’s of more applications and websites to choose from, so it is starting to spread thin. But some crucial arrows point down for sites like Jasper.ai and Copy.ai while it is going up for OpenAI, chatGPT, Bing, etc.
And I suspect any uptick would be happening because of the increased interest in the whole Generative AI space. So all providers should benefit from that- but that can only be calculated in for a short while; consolidations in the space will happen. And it still looks like it will be OpenAI with its chatGPT.
